How To Win A Jingle Competition


  A jingle competition is a competition  where in different levels compete using a jingle/song/beat compiled together. In a jingle, a group of people will perform songs relating to the theme accompanied choreography. Usually a jingle happens during Nutrition Month and the theme is usually about how to be healthy. This is a unique way to celebrate the occasions and in that way the students will understand the essence of doing this and learning about the importance of the theme.

  Cooperation and teamwork is needed when competing for the jingle. When members cooperate things become easier and faster. In that way there will be less problems to deal with. The members should not just rely on the leader/s because it will be hard when it comes to practicing the lines and dance. Not just that, when everybody cooperates in the jingle the performance will be better and won't look lousy, when everyone helps things will go smoothly as planned.

  In making the lyrics of the song, it is important that the thought of the theme should be in it. For example the theme is about the health of the baby for it's first 1000 days, what you should do is write lyrics that are related and connected to the theme. Then add some fun beats to make the song livelier. Also you should understand what you made because it is really important to make things clearer. In addition to that, the dance should also be lively in order to catch the viewer's attention.

  It is also important to make your voice loud and clear so that the viewers will understand what you are singing. In that way the viewers will get the message of the song and it can also give an impact on your performance. It will sound boring and lousy if your voice will sound soft and it won't be good to listen to. It is very important to make your voice consistent  for example at the beginning of the jingle the voices are really loud and lively but in the middle part the voices soften and you will lose some points on that, that's why it's important.

  The important thing about the jingle is that you have fully understood the theme and the experience of being in it. Jingle isn't about just winning but also having fun while doing it. You just have to cooperate to make things happen because from all of this,you can learn and experience new things. Win or lose, no matter what happens you should have sportsmanship.

Field Demonstration      Field Demo is an event that usually happens in September wherein the students get to dance depending on the theme. It is very fun, exciting, lively and also very colorful  to look at. Not only the students get to dance but also the teachers and sometimes the staff members too.      This year our theme was about different festivals, ours was the festival from Barili called Kaumahan Festival. This festival is about farmers and their crops. Pardo Night    Students are given a chance to show and share their talents in the Pardo night activity for the foundation day. It was really fun to see everyone dancing and having fun that night. There were different kinds of presentation like Poetry, Modern and contemporary dancing. The program was entitled "The Circle of Life".        The program was held after the Field Demonstration, in the Pardo church later that evening. Everyone was performing happily and the audience were cheerful. Even though it started late, it was still a happy experience that gave everyone a smile.
